Dr Sir Your petitioner Albert Owens, would most Respectively state that at the last we concluded to take a game at cards and to make it more interesting [...] bet 5. cts a game. at court following one of the party was called before the grand Jury, an indictment was gotten. when called in court we confessed Judgement, we did'nt think at the time of playing of violating law, Your petitioner is a poor man & a little fined falls heavily upon ^him^ therefore he would most Respectfully ask your Honor to remit his fine, and he promises that he has played his last game for anything of value;
