We the undersigned citizens of Said State and county being desirous that Justice should be meted out every citizen. we, therefore respectfully petition your exclency to remit a fine imposed upon one of our worthy citizens by the circuit court of this county for the alledged offence of Suffering gaming in his house which we believe was a malicious thing on the part of the individual who made the present^ment^ to the grand Jury the individual thus imposed upon is William Wood of this county whom we know to be a gentleman and the r[Report] to the Grand Jury was wholely and enterly malicious the amt of the fine is two hundred Dollars $200 which the Shff of this is according to Law obliged to collect. unless you remit
