To the Govenor of Ky Hon Ths E Bramlett
Sir there is a young man in the Penitentiary for alleged horse Stealing. his name is Wm P Murry, and he is a private in the 59th Ohio though a Citizen of this County.
The Rebels Killed his Father and his mother has no means of support and it would be a great favor to the Mother for you to pardon him as it is in your power to do so.
The Boy is not of Sane mind, so say men of theLaw from the fact that He acknowledged the crime when there was no one to appear against him. The prosecution did not appear nor any of the witnesses. But Mury, as before stated, Confessd & was Condemned to prison &c We the undersigned Loyal men of said County petition you to relieve him &c our Representative H Hagen will present this.
