At the request of the widowed Mother of Edward Parish, I enclose you herewith a Petition for his release from the imprisonment part of a Judgment against him in the Madison Circuit Court โ The statements in the Petition I believe to be true โ among the Signers are several of our most worthy & patriotic citizens, & believing it will not prejudice the Public welfare to grant it, I cheerfully unite in its prayer โ
