Against } Indictment for Refusing to receive the vote of a qualified voter.
Jno W, Flora & Geo Herendon Defendants
The Grand Jury of Campbell County, in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, — accuse Jno W. Flora & Geo Herendon of the offense of refusing to receive the vote of a qualified voter, Committed as follows, viz; John W Flora & Geo Herendon on the [...] day of [...] And laws of the State aforesaid, for the Election of-
-a member of Congress of the united States, for the 6th Congressional District in Said State, a Treasurer, a Senator for the 25th Senatorial District of Said State, Two members of the General Assembly for Said County and a Clerk of the Circuit Court for Said County, the Said Flora being then & there a Judge of Said Election & the Said Herendon being then & there the Sheriff of Said Election, and Severally acting as Such at the time and place aforesaid, mhaving been duly appointed and qualified as Said Judge and Sheriff, The Jury aforesaid in the name and by the authority aforesaid do further Say that at the Election aforesaid and for the purpose aforesaid at the Precinct and County aforesaid, did on the day and year aforesaid Austin Morris, a qualified voter of Said Precinct and County, did then & there appear at the Polls before the Judges, Sheriff
& Clerk of the Said Election, between the hours of Seven Oclock A M, and Six Oclock P, M, and then & there — offer to vote, Whereupon the Said John W. Flora & George Herendon as Judge and Sheriff of Said Election, did Knowingly and unlawfully Completely refuse to receive the vote of Said Austin Morris, Contrary to the Statute in Such case made and provided, and against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
