The Governor of Kentucky
A vacancy now exists in this, (Hays' Springs) District, for Magistrate or "Justice of the Peace" occasioned by the death of Isaac Mills; now we the undersigned pray your Excellency to fill said vacancy, and earnestly recommend our fellow citizen Oliver. C. Curryas every way qualified and worthy of said office
I, Jno. A. Hays J. P. J C. do hereby certify that Isaac Mills was my colleague as acting "Justice of the Peace" for this Hays' Springs" District for theCounty of Jefferson and state of Kentucky- and that he has departed this life
