in the year 1860 you [rejoin] the petition of [some] good citizen Breathitt County Respited a fine that was recovered against L D Landsaw in the Breathitt Circuit court for as my Recolection serves me $20 the Respite is now out & L D Landsaw is Exceedingly Poor and as you Know time hard and I state to you that he is wholy unable to pay the fine to force him to pay said fine would be to place upon the charity of a cold & unfriendly wold a wife Lot of small children wherefore I ask you in your mercy to remit said fine
