Logan county Kentucky
To His Excelency the Governor of Kentucky
Whereas Summerset Cooksey of Logan county Ky has been fined fined in two cases in the Cir Criminal Court of Said County the fines were assessed Some ^the charge was for selling liquor^ two or three years ^ago^ but have not been paid off. Mr Cooksey is an Aged and verry infirm man. And the Sheriff now threatening to put him in the county Jail for the fines. We therefore Humbly pray you to Reprieve Remit the fines together with the costs we believe it would be an act of Justice as well as Mercy
Respect We therefore Respectfully pray you to give the Case due Consideration with as little delay as possible the fines amount to $120.
