To his Excellency Governor Magoffin
Your Petitioner Michael B. Johnson states that he is a citizen and resident of Lexington Ky and was a citizen and resident of this place in
A Capias has been issued and is now in the hands of the Shff. of this County. Your Petitioner now state he is totally unable to pay the same. He representes to you that he has recently been unfortunate and been broken up in his business and that he has a family dependant upon him; and that unless the ^execution of the^ process, now in the hands of the Shff. is arrested by your order, it will be a source of real distress to him.
He therefore respectfully asks you to remit said fines.
