The undersigned would most respectfully Show to your excellency that at the him George. W. Lee for $200. on a bond forfeited by J R F Lee who was charged with a felony said G. W. Lee has petitioned your excellency to release all of same except Costs &c and your excellency was kind enough to stay it 12 months said Lee in his petition which he now refers you to sets out all the facts he is a cripple & will be for life is poor and wholy unable to Labor and we do think if there is a case in your state that deserves the merciful interposition of your excellency it would be his it will meet the approbation and hearty approval of the citizens of this county generally to now remit said sum or so much as you can we hope you will release him
