To his Excelency B Magoffin Gov. of Ky
Whereas it has been made known to me B K Bethurum Juge of the Rockcastle County Court that one Logan Sigman of said county has been indicted indited by the Grand jury of Rockcastle County at the last Feby Term of the Rockcastle Circuit Court for the murder of young Hickumbothem of Garrard County Ky & Wheras it appears that said case is one of Willful murder of the most horrible character, therefore I believe it Just & right & wholy necessary for a reward to be offered by the Governor of Kentucky for the apprehension of said Sigman, for a least $500 — as he is running at large with a clan who protects him & the Shff with force affiant of all persons he could get has made efforts to arrest said Sigman for said crime & failed & Sigman is now thought to be making his exs escape from Rockcastle County & I believe is gone from the County to escape Justice at the hand of the law
