This day came the attorney for the commonwealth and C A Vancleave J A Jarboe B P Hamilton Ben Wheatly A Corley James Elder Q M Chandler H McElroy George Dunn John Beaver W M Briehen Felix McAlee were Sworn to try the cause and after learning the evidence retired and returned into court the following verdict towit: We of the jury find the defendant guilty of the offence charged in the within indictment and assess the fine at twenty five dollars. C A Vancleave one of the Jury It is therefore adjudged that said defendant make his fine to the commonwealth by the payment of twenty five dollars the amount by the Jury in their verdict aforesaid assessed and also the costs herein expended.
