A. J Denham of Edmonson County — was fined for an Aledged Assalt & Battery — in
Denham has paid the fine & cost and Asks to be relieved from the Imprisonment. as a capias has Issued against his body — which has not been Executed from the fact that he is a member of the 12th Ky Cavelry —
I heard the testimony upon the original trial and believe that had the case been tried upon the Appeal that he would have not only — not have been imprisoned by the verdict of the Jury but that he would have been released from the fine also.
