Maysville Ky,
My dear friend,
Although a pleasure, yet you will pardon me for addressing you so frequently in regard to the remission of the fine against Mr Lambden.
A petition was sent to you many days since, signed by many of your old friends — doubtless you have not received it; I dislike to trouble you, (knowing your pressing engagements) yet you must attend to this matter at once — We well knowing that the fine was an imposition.
I am, my dear Judge Yrs
Sam W. Owens
