Hon Jas F Robinson
Frankfort
Dear Sir
I cheerfully endorse the statement made by the petitioners herewith sent you & will add that this man Wilkins is a miserably poor man & very ignorant=He is honest & thought it no offense to sell out a jug of whiskey at a little gathering near his home —
Your remitting this fine will be an act of charity & I think I can safely say he will Sin no more — Altho small it is quite an amount to him
Very respectfully
Your friend
Tho A. Duke
