To his Excellency the Govr of Ky.
Your Petitioner William Reynolds respectfully states that at the present
He states that he is a single man living with his Brother in Law Willis Griffin & that his Bro in law had some Whisky Brandy on hand & by the pursuasin of Some of the neighbors he let them have a small quantity as a matter of accommadation & not for any profit or gain to himselfe Wherefore he asks your Excellency to remit such part of said fine as is in your discretion which will greatly oblige a very poor man

Gov. Robinson. Wm Reynolds is a poore man has never been guilty of any violations of Law before this, and there is doubts in the minds of some persons as to whether he was guilty at all. I believe he will not knowingly violate the law, and think you would do right to remit the fine
