To his Excellency James F. Robinson Governor of the Comwth. of Kentucky —
We the undersigned Jurors who tried the case of Henry V. Sundrum on a charge of malicious stabbing finding abundant reasons in said case for the exercise of your Constitutional Prerogative of Pardon, do very earnestly recommend him to Executive clemency and ask a pardon in his behalf without delay — He proved a good character, is honest and peacable, and has a wife & two children, is a mechanic of Louisville, and committed the offence in anger — He delievered himself up to the officer and was for awhile on bail, And is now in jail awaiting his sentence for oneyear in the penetentiary —

The undersigned states that He conducted the prosecution for the State in the trial of the above case being requested to do so by the Atto for the Commonwealth and consent of the Court: The Petition describes the Case truly: and in as much Twelve respictable Citizens have joined in a Petition for his pardon; and there is doubt to some extent that the stabbing was done maliciously but in sudden heat & passion I cheerfully Join in their petition: the young man is of good repute in this City for honesty sobriety and industry
