Dear Sir

I have the Honor of recomending as a Senior 2d Lieut for 3d Ky Battery Lieut Germain Deitwelter who has a Commission for Recruiting for the 50th Ky Mntd Infty,, he has had an order to consolidate his company with the 3d Ky Battery as Artillery, the order was revoked, and he now wishes to receive a Commission as Senior 2d Lieut in the 3d Ky Battery, and I know of no man whom I would more cherefully reccomend to the position as a well Drilled Artillerist and a gentleman hoping this will meet with your favor
