Your letter of the 12 inst to his Excellency Gov Bramlette, has been referred to this office. We have no cavalry subject to our orders, but if the citizens of Hustonsville will recommend some good and efficient man to raise a company I will issue him authority, and when the company is organized will furnish guns &c. This is the best I can do at present, and would suggest that a suitable person be recommended to these Hd Qrs to raise a company at once.
