Paducah, Kentucky, attorney and politician. Burkesville, Kentucky, native. Son of Milton King and Susan Wiles King. Married Leann Sophia King in 1854. Father of Mary Elizabeth King, Nancy Susan King, Ellen King, Leann Quincy King, and Goode King. Member of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from Cumberland County, Kentucky, in 1849 and from 1853 to 1855. Member of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from McCracken County, Kentucky, from 1855 to 1859. Speaker of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1857. Member of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Kentucky from McCracken County from 1861 to 1863.
