Casey County, Kentucky, resident and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of James Belden and Nancy Belden. Resident in Casey County in 1850. First sergeant, second lieutenant, first lieutenant, and captain in the 1st Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry Regiment from July 27, 1861, to December 31, 1864.
