William Lanigan (Bricklayer and 1st serg. 1st Ky. L. A.)

U.S. Army soldier and bricklayer. Native of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Bricklayer in 1863. Served in the 1st Kentucky Light Artillery Regiment (U.S.A.) as private and first sergeant from October 6, 1863. Reported as deserted from Somerset, Kentucky, on April 12, 1864.
