Benton County, Indiana, minister. Kentucky native. Married to Lydia Boggs Stevenson. Father of J. E. Stevenson, A. M. Stevenson, Lemuel B. Stevenson, Mary Stevenson, Fannie Stevenson, Wilbur F. Stevenson, Hiram S. Stevenson, Sidney M. Stevenson, Henry T. Stevenson, Evan Stevenson, Laura Stevenson. Farmer and Methodist minister in Scott County, Kentucky in 1850. Owned eight enslaved persons in 1850. Minister in Benton County, Indiana, in 1860. Chaplain in the 15th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.). Resigned from service on March 21, 1862.
