Owned seven enslaved persons in Franklin County in 1850. Merchant in Franklin County in 1860. Sheriff of Franklin County from 1860 to 1861. Owned five enslaved persons in Franklin County in 1860. Keeper of the Kentucky State Penitentiary from 1863 to 1871.
