Butler County, Kentucky, physician and assistant surgeon. South Carolina native. Son of Martha Simpson. Married to Martha P. Simpson. Physician in Butler County in 1860. Served as assistant surgeon of the 11th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) from December 9, 1861 to January 29, 1864.
