Fayette County, Kentucky, resident. Mississippi native. Married to Harriet L. Wilson Cochran. Married to E. D. Cochran. Father of E. D. Cochran, M. W. Cochran, S. P. Cochran, and O. T. Cochran. Resident of Fayette County in 1860. Owned one enslaved persons in Fayette County in 1860. Served as colonel in the 14th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) from January 6, 1862 to January 12, 1863.
