Gov Bramlettee
Dr Sir — On the
Gray is about 23 years of age, six feet high stoops a little; wore when last seen long light auburn hair, has blue eyes, long nose, sallow complexion & for some time past acted as Guerilla in concert with one Capt Hedge in the Counties of Nelson Bullitt & Spencer There not having been an application similar to this coming from this district for quite a number of years & the aggravating circumstances of the murder induce me to make this application for a reward for his apprehension. In order to arrest Gray (if it can be done in any way) I should like no publication of it
until I can have certain steps taken in the matter- I am afraid publication will drive him from the country- if he has not already gone to Canada
The conviction of Gray would do a great deal of good & I ask for as large a reward as the nature of the case will admit

I Reccomend the offering of a reward for Gray for the reasons presented by Mr Dupuy
