REQUISITION FOR FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE.
TO HIS EXCELLENCY,
The Governor of the State of Kentucky
It appears by the annexed papers, duly authenticated according to the laws of our States, that One Esther Ritchie, alias Mattie Clark, alias Fanny Barton stands charged by Affidavit of Dexter B. Hodges with the crime of Larceny and it has been represented to me that ^s^he has fled from the justice of this State and has taken refuge in the State of Kentucky.
Now Therefore, I Oliver P. Morton Governor of the State of Indiana, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Consititution and Laws of the United States, do, by these presents, demand that the said Esther Ritchie, alias Mattie Clark, alias Fanny Barton be apprehended and delivered to Dexter B. Hodges who is hereby authorized to receive and convey him ^her^ to the State of Indiana, that he ^she^ may abide his ^her^ trial for the crime with which he ^she^ stands charged. "The State will pay no part of the expenses of the execution of this Writ."
In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Seal of the State, at the City of Indianapolis this Eightyforty Eighth year of the State, and of the Independence of the United States the Eighty Eighth{Seal}
