To His Excellency
James F. Robinson
Governor of Ky
The undersigned would most respectfully represent to your excellency that at the time of the surrender of the United States forces at Munfordville on the anxious generally anxious to be exchanged and to go into active service again. The undersigned is quite desirous that such exchange may be effected so that. he and his men may become useful to the Government at as early a day as is practicable — Those who made their escape from the works
at Munfordville are as he is informed scattered about the Country, but he presumes that they can all be gathered up again at any time — He had drawn clothing for 50 of his men prior to said surrender — Any communication sent to him at this place to the care of Wilson & Robertson would reach him — He awaits further orders —
