Bowling Green, Kentucky, teacher and soldier. Kentucky native. Son of John F. McCormick and Harriet E. Irvine McCormick. Teacher in Bowling Green in 1860. Served in 1st Kentucky Calvary Regiment (C.S.A.) from 1861 to 1862. Served in 2nd Kentucky Cavalry Regiment (C.S.A.) from 1862 to 1865.
