Maysville, Kentucky, attorney and soldier. Pennsylvania native. Son of Johnathan A. Bierbower and Lucetta Bierbower. Student in Maysville in 1850. Attorney in Maysville in 1860. Mayor of Maysville in 1862. Served in the 40th Kentucky Volunteer Infantry Regiment (U.S.A.) as captain and major from September 1, 1863, to December 30, 1864. Commandant of Camp Nelson from July 18, 1865, to August 23, 1865.
