W P Brumback & A E Noth Stones states on oth that they were the sureties in a Bond to the commonwealth of Ky for the appearance of Thomas Renfro in the first day of [ ] term of the Grant circuit to answer to a charge of felony That Renfro failed to attend on trial & the Bond was forfeited and at the last term of the Grant circuit court a judgment was rendered against them for the sum of $500,00 & costs They say that they are poor men that the money can be made but that it will be oppresive to them & their families They further state that the said Bond was taken by an examining court & that no indictment was found against said Renfro They also ^state that^ Harrison Roses & his son J H Rose was arrested & held by the same ~~Court~~ Examining court for they ^same^ offence to appear for trial in the circuit court That the Roses were unable to give Bond remained in Jail until the Grand Jury ~~were~~ was discharge & no indictment was found against either of them and they wer discharged without trial They further state that they are in no way indemnified by the said Thomas Renfro for the amount of said judgment against them
