To His Excellency
Gov. Bramlette:

Your petitioner Eli M^cDaniel pray you to remit a fine of ten dollars imposed upon him by the City Court of Frankfort Ky, about the 3^rd or 4^th day of Sept. 1863. for committing a breach of the peace as was found in the juries verdict, by drawing a pistol upon one Rev. T. W. Moore who had attacked his person by throwing stones at him, He states that he committed no such breach of the peace, he not being the attacking party, nor did he so intend, He further states that he has a family to provide for and is little able to do so, being poor and often without labor to perform. He also subjoins to this his petition, the approval of many worthy Citizens of the City of Frankfort, as being just and who are willing that he should be relieved of the said fine.
