To his Excellency the Governor of Kentucky,

Your petitioner would respectfully represent that at the last term of the Fayette Circuit Court he was fined the sum of Two hundred dollars for permitting gaming on premises occupied by him of which offense he says heisnotquilty,infact although he may be in law, He states further that he ^is^ now workingout said fine at two dollars per day and the Commonwealth is paying for his accomodations the sum of fiftycents per day — He says he is not doing the Commonwealth nor any one else any good, and says he is desirous of enlisting in the 6^th Ky. Cavalry as a private soldier. Wherefor he prays that his fine may be remitted.
