To the Excelence of the govenor your Petitioner Elias Bryant wold Respictively Repesent to your Excelence that at the August terme of the Whitley Circuit Court at 18613 that the Grand Jury of Whitley county found an enditement against your petitioner for selling liquor by the Quarte that he as a distiller had maid & manfactured that the Liquer was not sold or drunk on his pimeress that he sold the liquer beleaving that he had a Right to Sell and to let it be drunk wheare Sold if not drunk on his primises he say at the present March terme he come in to court and plea gilty and submited the law and acts to the court and the court Rendered Judgement against him for the amount of twenty dollars he states that he acted in good faith and did not do any thing but what he beleaved at the time he had a Right to do he states that he quite selling as soon as he found he was vialating the law and that he had no instruction of vialating the law he thare for pays your Excelence to Remit the fine and to interpose and set the judgement asid and to Pardon your Petitioner as he had no interest of any ofence and to pardon him for this offence and for all Proper Releaf
