I have the honor to address you in regard to Henry Holden, Samuel Howell and J. T. Hartwell. Privates of this Reg^t now confined in States Prison. at Frankfort Ky — I have never been officially notified of their arrest. but am informed that the Charges against them. were. Stealing a watch. in Whitley Co. Ky — They have been in confinement about Eight months. Previously to this time they bore a good character in the Regiment. I would respectfully request. that these men be released from confinement. and be returned to their Regiment.

They may be placed in charge of Serg^t M. Waite. who presents this communication —
