The Bearer William Light Calls on you for the Purpose of Asking your Clemency for his brother, who has been in the Penitentiary for over three years, Willliam Light lives in Indiana, and for several years has been a tenant of my brother-in-Law, who speaks of his General Character & Good Conduct in terms of High Praise

He is certainly an honest hard working man who has been deeply Grieved at the unfortunate Position of his brother George.

I unite with him and others in his Appeal to you for the Pardon of his brother, I feel Sure that your Mercy will be appreciated, and will Give General Satisfaction
