Sir, I would most respectfully, represent unto your Excellency. That at the Feby Term of the Rockcastle Circuit Court 1864, I was Indicted by the Grand Jury thereof, for unlawful Gaming_ plead guilty and Judgment was entered against me for $20.

I would further represent unto your Excellency. that I have never been indicted before for violation of any law, and that I do not follow gaming for profit but was thoughtlessly led into the game for which I was Indicted, by some old friends whom I had not met before for many months.

I would respectfully ask that You remit said fine pledging myself not to be guilty of unlawful gaming again.
