To his Excellency govenor Bramlet

We the undersigned citizens of Jackson county would Most Respectfully Represent to your honor that at thte last nov term of our circuit court that John Miller was find fifty dollars charge will carrying of conceald weapons we will say to your honer that the said John Miller is A verry poore man with a small family. And A widow Mother with a family to provide for and is A man of A good moral caracter hard working and industrious and was not at court at the trial But was away from home at work for the government The testimony was that he had on one occasion come home and puld an oald pistol out of his pocket) we hope that you may concur with us and in thinking that he ort not to pay the fine as it is all that we can do to Live out here at this time owing to the great scarceity of provision) and Inter^pose^ your clemency and remit the fine
