To the Excelency of the govenor of the commonweath of Kentuckey

Your petitioner Plesant Meadors and Thomas R Harmon wold Respectibley Represent to your excelence that at the March turme of the Whitley Circuit Courte that they was two Judgements Rendered a gainst one Thomas E Meadors for twenty dollars each for Retailing licqur in Quantites less then a half galleon they state that Meadows ^as I am enformed and beleaves^ had the spirits when the Rebles was in heare and was hiding it and he was purswaded that if they was ^no^ law and him being ignarnt of the facts then sold the liquare with out any intention of violating the law and was endited and find as a fore said and to Provent his being Put in jail your Petitioners Replevid the Judgements and that Thomas E Meadors is a pore man and has afamley and is unable to pay the fine and do Justice to his famley and that he is lawel to the govrment and unless your excelence enterposes that your Petitioner will ~~inter~~ have to Pay the Judgements and that they are lawel and that your Petitioner T. R. Hamom seved a tower in the 14 Regem & Ky Vol untell discharge for ~~want of~~ disabilaty and that we onley Replevid the debts to Prevent Meadors from being Placed in Jail and if they have to Pay the Judgement that they ~~now~~ will have it to luse that they cant colect it of Meado
Wheare for they Pray your excelence to Remit the fine and Releas your Petitioner from the Replevin Bond and for all Proper Releasse
