Your ~~petioners~~ petitioners would respectfully represent to your Excellency that at the Aprile Term of the Boone circuit court, that the Grand jury of said county found an indictment against one F, I, Femeding an Inn keeper in town of Florence in said Boone County upon the statute for selling intoxicating drinks to minors, That testimony on trial shewed the offence to have been committed on one single occasion the witness stating that the defendant Femeding refused to sell him liquor until witness told him that he was sick and much in need of something by way of relief & that then defendant furnished the drink as desired, Your petitioners who were ~~men~~ on the jury which ~~who~~ brought in the verdict on the trial of the indictment ^pray^ that your excellency, in the exercise of a sound & wise discretion ought remit the fine against said defendant and as in duty bound your petitioners shall ever pray
