The Petition of Mr Patterson will be presented to you by Mr Gabbert I understand, tomorrow. He resides in this county, has a wife and children dependent upon his exertions for a support and has a large number of relatives who have lived in the county for a great number of years- The Petition will explain to you the facts of his case, and if after a careful examination of them, you can find it consistent with your duty to pardon him I shall be gratified
