Governor of the Comlth of Ky.

Your petitioner A. B. Miller a citizen of Louisville Ky- would represent on oath that he has for the last three years past been in the union army as a private soldier & that his sonCharlesMiller has alsobeen in thesamearmy for the sametime-hat his son was arrested since his return home on a charge of trying to rob a man- there was no proof in the case except the man who was a Jew he swor that young Miller was trying to rob him- young Miller was not able to imploy Counsel & his Father your petitioner became paralized from exposure in the army so as to render it all most impossible for him to leave his House wherefore his son had no aid in his defence & has been convicted for one year to the penitentiary- your petitioner is well satisfied that his son is innocent of the charge that his son has been a bravesoldier & good boy- wherefore he most sincerely asks you may parden him- & by so doing relieve an afflicted Father & aged mother
