To His Excellency
Govenor Bramlett.

Your Petitioner Henry Mullin would Respectfully Represent — that at the February Term of the Rockcastle Circuit Court. he was fined. $20. for selling one quart of whisky, to one Jonathan Abney, he admits that Mr. Abney called upon him when his wife was sick in the Family way, and represented that he was bound to have the whisky. I stubornly refused him,, but the circumstance of his Family at the time, still I let him have the whisky. and further states that he has replevied the Judgment of the court. and is now nearly out, and unless relieved — he will be compeled to pay the fine, and further States that he is a poor man, with a Family, and is unable to pay the fine and would Respectfully pray your Honor to interpose and remit the fine or so much thereof as, is due the state. and as in duty bound will ever pray &C —
