Governer Bramlett

your Petitioner Shadrach Walters would represent that in 1861 he was licenced as a merchant to retail ardent spirits and that he sold some whisky by the Quart to two individuals who was directed by your petitioner and who promised they would take the same off of the premises and adjacent premises before they would use or drink the same and in violation of your Petitioners orders and their promise did drink some of the whiskey on the Premises adjacent to the place where sold and then endicted this petitioner in two cases before the Grand Jury of Johnson County for Tipling He says at this term of the Johnson circuit Court he was fined $20 in each Case he prays your excellency to remit said fines and in duty will ever pray
