To his excellincy the Governor of the Commonwealth of Ky

The undersigned respectfully represent that on the 6" day of april 1865 an execution Issued from the Clark Circuit Court in favor of the Comonwealth of Ky and against G. W. Webster principal & William P Gardner his Surety for the Sum of 57.⁵⁷/₁₀₀and interest from 19" day of July 1858 till paid and $1.⁶⁰/₁₀₀cost which Execution is now in the Hands of the Sheriff of Henry County to be levied upon the effects of the Said Gardner who is now a resident of Henry County the facts connected with the said Execution are as follows some years ago the said Webster was arrested & Held to bail in Clark County and to releave him from imprisonment the said Gardner went on his bail bond as his Surity the bond was afterwards forfited. Judgment taken thereon and the execution above named ~~execution~~ Issued as aforesaid the Petitioners ^state^ that the said Webster was afterwards appr^e^hended tried and convicted and is now in the Penitentiary of the State of Ky Gardner is a poor man upon whome to a great extent has devolved the maintenance of the family of Webster since he has been in the Penitentiary We therefore ask your excellency to remit said Judgment and
releave the said Gardner from the operation of said Execution —
