The Commonwealth came by her attorney and the Defendant appeared and plead guilty to the charge contained in the Indictment, and acknowledged himself indebted to the Commonwelath in the sum of $500.

Wherefore with the assent of the atty for the plaintiff and by leave of the Court! It as ajudged that the Plaintiff recover of the Defendant, Five hundred dollars, and also her Costs herein expended.

It is further ordered that a Capias Profine issue upon the foregoing Judgment.

I know John B payne very well — He is poor and I believe honest & tries hard to support his Mother. He has no means to deal Faro with & in this case only dealt a short time for another — This Mr. Downey assures me is the state of fact I cordialy recommmend his release —
