L Anderson & A. R. Boone have applied to me to make a Statement of facts to you with a view of getting remittance or a forfeited bond in M^cCracken Circuit Court

Some years ago W P Miller a free negro was indicted for Migrating to this State & Anderson and Boone went his Security fo his appearance — the Cause was continued by com^l chiefly for several terms until April 1863 when the defendant in the vicessitudes of war failed to come up & there was a forfeiture & Summons & in Oc^tr 1863 Judgment for 250$ & at same term I being com^l atty assertained that no case could ever be made out against defendant even if he was present with leave of court ordered it Stricken from the docket — the indictment I assertained was found in the first place more with the view of running the defendant off than with any expectation of a conviction — I think under all circumstances Anderson and Boone should be pardoned
