Elsey M^cdonal and Milton B. Cox were jointly indicted in this court for robery. They had separate trials M^cdonal was tried first, and convicted, the case was prepared for the Court of Appeals but was not presented on account of his death, at the next Term Cox was tried, substantially the same evidence was given against ^him^ and for him, he was convicted.

His Father wishes to apply to you for his pardon, the [record] in the case of M^cdonal, he will present to you, I hope you will examine it, & will then dispose of his case as your good judgment may think you ought, Yours most respectfully
