Your petitioners respectfully state that at the march term of the Jessamine Circuit Court. Joseph Chrisman, John. H. Scott, George Lowen and Chilton Lowen were indicted severally for stealing horses. Now whereas your excellency has already pardoned Joseph Chrisman and John H Scott. before conviction we respectfully petition, and ask for your pardon in the case of George Lowen and Chilton Lowen. They are the sons of a poor man and it is believed that if the executive clemency be extended to them, that the past will be a warning and in the future ~~the future~~ their conduct will be that of good citizens.
